JAM X will be held at Aula Magna of Department of Life Sciences and Systems Biology, Via Accademia Albertina, 15 – Turin (Italy).

Turin (Italian, Torino), is a vibrant city in northern Italy, the capital of the Piedmont region. Renowned for its rich history and culture, Torino served as the first capital of modern Italy and boasts an array of baroque buildings and old cafes, alongside its famous automobile industry. The city is also celebrated for its refined architecture and cuisine, with notable attractions such as the Mole Antonelliana, the Museo Egizio, and the Gran Madre. Its scenic views of the Alps, elegant squares, and lush parks make Torino a charming destination that encapsulates the essence of Italian elegance. Aula Magna – Department of Life Sciences and Systems Biology

The location at Via Accademia Albertina 13 is housed in the former baroque convent of the Canonichesse Lateranensi, which underwent a long and complex renovation and adaptation process (1982-September 2004).

The restoration of the frescoes in the Aula Magna and the Abbess’s apartment, along with the renovation of the cloister and courtyards, have partly restored the expansive feel of the original baroque complex.

In the elegant and refined restored former convent, there are now offices for faculty and technical staff, student secretariats, computer, teaching, and research labs, classrooms, meeting rooms, and a library. In the Aula Magna, originally the ancient chapter house or refectory, one can admire a series of frescoes attributed to the painting and color technique of the Guidobono, a family of artists who left their mark at the Royal Palace during their stay in Turin.
